What You'll Be Doing:
The Construction Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for overseeing the bidding, tracking, execution, and costing of assigned projects within the Construction Department. In collaboration with the Refrigeration Construction Manager, this role helps determine workload, bid pricing, and oversees materials pricing and procurement. The position is crucial in maintaining consistent communication with general contractors, managing change orders, coordinating project workflows, procuring parts, and handling clerical tasks that support overall project success. The Project Manager/Estimator will play a key role in building and nurturing relationships with customers to expand the construction teams. They will also work closely with vendors to secure the most competitive pricing and ensure projects are monitored and managed to stay on schedule and within budget. USD $80,000.00/Yr.Max Compensation:
USD $95,000.00/Yr.Responsibilities:
Collaborates with executive-level management, including the Vice President of Construction and Construction Managers, in the development of performance goals, workflows, and long-term plans Analyzes current operational processes and performance, recommending efficiency improvements that drive GM% improvement and minimize overhead costs Assists department managers in resolving issues that may arise during construction-related work Is responsible for developing and managing operational key performance indicators (KPIs) Develops, implements, and monitors day-to-day operational systems and processes, providing visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for key initiatives Builds and maintains relationships with construction department heads, general contractors, the estimating team, and vendors to make decisions and set strategic goals Works closely with the business development team to respond to business opportunities Cultivates relationships with customers to build and maintain the workload Sets up and monitors projects in Procore from initiation to completion Monitors budgets for active projects Schedules team manpower Collaborates with the Service team and Maverik Management team to ensure they have the necessary materials and resources for successful project handoffs Communicates critical issues and risks to senior leadership and drives them to resolution with consistent objectivity Ensures and manages effective communication with all stakeholders Other related duties, as assignedQualifications:
Excellent interpersonal written and oral communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office including advanced skills in Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookup, Macros, If Statements, Formulas) Ability to coordinate, contribute to and work within a cross-functional team Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving capabilities Ability to remain disciplined and show continued perseverance Ability to focus and be committed to resolve complex issues Ability to be flexible and operate in a fast-paced environment Ability to communicate effectively and operate in a team environment Proven ability to easily establish rapport and effective relationships, while driving accountability for shared results High level of operational focus and accuracyWhat We're Looking For:
