Exempt About the Role We're seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead and elevate our preconstruction operations across multiple Wisconsin branches. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing estimating, engineering, and BIM teams to ensure successful mechanical construction project planning and execution. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in mechanical contracting, a collaborative leadership style, and a strategic mindset focused on driving efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement. What You'll Do Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop a team of estimators, engineers, and BIM professionals Foster collaboration and consistency across all branch locations Drive a culture of innovation, accountability, and high performance Project Planning & Estimating Oversee accurate, detailed project estimates and budgets Align estimates with company standards, timelines, and client expectations Partner with project managers to refine scopes and schedules Engineering & BIM Oversight Ensure engineering accuracy and compliance with industry standards Champion BIM processes to enhance coordination and visualization Promote technology integration across all phases of preconstruction Stakeholder Engagement Build strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams Participate in client meetings and presentations Resolve issues proactively during preconstruction phases Process & Quality Management Standardize processes across all branches Monitor compliance with company policies and industry regulations Conduct audits to ensure consistency and quality Continuous Improvement Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies Implement improvements that enhance efficiency and outcomes Monitor performance metrics and drive operational excellence What You Bring Experience & Education 10+ years of leadership experience in construction or manufacturing Background in mechanical contracting strongly preferred Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (preferred) Valid driver's license Skills Strong leadership and strategic decision-making abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Financial acumen (P&L, cost management, budgeting) Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction-related software Solid understanding of construction law and business practices Core Competencies Results-driven with strong business insight High level of professionalism and integrity Ability to manage confidential information Customer-focused mindset Work Environment Mix of office (90%) and field work (10%) Exposure to construction site conditions, including weather and noise Occasional physical activity: climbing ladders, uneven terrain, light lifting Why Join Us?
