  • July 16, 2026 June 16th will be a training/prep day All sick/personal days should be marked on your timesheet.
Due to reporting 4 days per week, absences will not go against incentive pay. Attendance will be mandatory for employees other than emergencies and illness.

Elementary Summer Academy Program Site Coordinator Supervises:
Teaching staff, service personnel, and non-degreed professionals as delegated.

  • Thursday 7:00 am to 1:00 pm daily.

Applicant must meet the minimum requirements; based on summer seniority
Qualifications:
  • Have elementary teaching and/or administrative experience in grades K-5 preferred.
  • Have a valid West Virginia Principal's certificate for the grades K-5.
  • Provide examples of knowledge and/or experience of successful administrative skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage effectively a comprehensive program of student behavior.
  • Provide examples of knowledge and/or experience in observing and reviewing with teachers their performance in instruction and classroom management.
  • Demonstrate how an effective working relationship among administration, teachers, and parents leads to improved learning.
  • Understand and interpret test data in order to improve student learning via curriculum development.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in word processing, presentation software, publishing, and database applications Functions and Duties Oversee daily operation of elementary summer school program at the school site.
Assumes responsibility for the attendance, conduct, and health of students. Develop and deliver site-based programs. Activities may include supervising and evaluating teachers, counselor, cook, and custodian; coordinating transportation and food service delivery at the site level; requisitioning materials, conducting staff/program evaluations, planning program delivery, creating student schedules, and supervising students, communicating with families to answer questions and resolve concerns Assist in implementing a system to monitor student progress Coordinate site staff meetings, workshops, and professional development for program continuity and improvement. Collaborate with site administration district personnel. Assist with implementation requirements of the program, such as: preparing of reports, maintaining inventory of site equipment, and maintaining accurate site program records for project evaluation. Maintain paperwork as assigned by Federal Programs. Contact county media coordinator to publicize activities. Develop materials for distribution to parents. Attend training/workshops as required. Assist in providing instructional leadership and support within the school buildings. Conducts himself or herself in a positive professional manner at all times in order to enhance good public relations, foster loyalty, good ethics, and cooperation with all personnel. Assist in creating a climate conducive to teaching and learning. Conduct other duties assigned by the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and Supervisor of Federal Programs.
