Job Description

A established mechanical contractor is seeking a skilled Project Manager to manage the day-to-day execution of commercial mechanical construction projects. This is a hands-on PM role for someone who knows the mechanical contracting world — from buyout and submittals through field coordination, change orders, and closeout. You'll work alongside experienced field leaders and ownership with the support and resources to deliver quality work. What you'll do Manage project administration and documentation from kickoff through closeout — submittals, RFIs, permits, and logs Own project financials — budget review, cost control, billing schedules, change orders, and retention collection Develop and maintain project schedules; coordinate procurement and buyout to meet cost and schedule targets Negotiate and administer subcontracts; review and approve subcontractor and supplier invoices Coordinate field staffing, labor resource loading, and productivity across assigned projects Ensure contracts, change conditions, and project records are properly documented to protect all parties What we're looking for Mechanical contractor background is required — GC-only or MEP consulting backgrounds will not be considered. Direct experience working for a mechanical contractor — HVAC, plumbing, piping, process, or related mechanical construction 5-10 years of project management or project engineering experience in mechanical construction Solid understanding of project financials — budgets, cost reports, billings, and change order management Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field — or equivalent hands-on experience Organized, detail-oriented, and able to keep multiple projects moving forward simultaneously Clear communicator across field crews, subcontractors, owners, and internal leadership #
PPSHP Pay:
$81,820.50 - $120,000.00 per year
