Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) specializing in weld inspection for Assemblies. In this vital role, you will ensure that welding procedures, materials, and workmanship meet rigorous quality standards and comply with industry codes. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of projects by conducting detailed inspections, analyzing welds, and collaborating with the team to uphold safety and quality benchmarks. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive visual and dimensional inspections of welds on pipelines, structures, and related components in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards and project specifications. Review blueprints, schematics, construction drawings, and technical documents to verify welding procedures and ensure compliance with project requirements. Conduct quality control checks throughout the process, including data collection, weld testing, and analysis of weld integrity. Collaborate closely with management teams to identify non-conformities, document findings, and recommend corrective actions. Monitor activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols, contractual obligations, and quality standards. Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and compliance documentation for audit purposes. Assist in the development and implementation of quality inspection plans tailored to pipeline projects and construction phases. Requirements Certification as an AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) is mandatory; additional certifications in construction inspection or related fields are a plus. Proven experience working on construction sites, particularly within pipeline or large infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of welding techniques, schematics, blueprints, and construction management practices. Excellent analysis skills to assess weld quality through visual inspections and nondestructive testing methods. Familiarity with quality control processes, data collection tools. Ability to read technical schematics and interpret engineering drawings accurately. Effective communication skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and document inspection findings clearly. Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
