Job Description
This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for a Construction Electrical Inspector for our Tucson, Arizona office. Be involved in projects with our Project Management/Construction Management Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges. Your Impact Assists the Resident Engineer performing inspection and documentation of contractor activities, related to electrical systems on aviation facilities. Provides daily report documentation of construction activities. Applies diversified knowledge of construction engineering principles and practices to report and resolve construction issues and problems. Elements to be inspected or monitored will include electrical work (airfield power, lighting systems and airfield signage), fiber optic systems, security systems and aircraft arresting systems. Inspect civil work to include the installation of buried electrical and communications conduit and appropriate duct bank construction along with placement of airfield concrete and other airfield pavements. Review plans and specifications for constructability and prepare reports documenting any issues. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. #LI-TD1 Who You Are Required Qualifications High School Diploma. Minimum of 11 years of electrical inspection experience in public works industry with an emphasis on aviation facilities. Working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and materials. Knowledge and experience working with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Ability to review and analyze construction drawings and contract specifications. Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, both low and high voltage. Proficiency in reading and writing in English. Ability to respond to and escalate field construction issues. Ability to inspect, document and coordinate site work including material testing. Valid Arizona driver's license Solid written and verbal skills Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs Meeting aviation security clearance requirements
