SENIOR UNDERGROUND UTILITY LOCATOR

Safe2core, Inc. is a premier provider of Underground Utility Locating, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Concrete Scanning, Vacuum Excavation, and CCTV Pipeline Inspection throughout Southern California. We partner with utility companies, general contractors, municipalities, engineers, and private developers to accurately identify and document underground infrastructure before excavation begins. We are seeking an experienced Senior Underground Utility Locator with a proven track record of locating buried utilities using electromagnetic locating equipment, utility records, and field investigation techniques. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-driven, and capable of working independently while delivering accurate, defensible utility markings and professional client service. Primary Responsibilities Perform electromagnetic utility locating for: Electric Gas Water Sewer Storm Drain Telecommunications Fiber Optic Irrigation systems Interpret utility maps, as-builts, and construction plans to support field investigations. Locate public and private underground utilities using industry-standard equipment and best practices. Verify utility locations using multiple locating methods to maximize accuracy and minimize risk. Perform Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) investigations when required to locate non-conductive utilities or verify complex utility corridors. Mark underground utilities in accordance with APWA Uniform Color Code standards. Prepare professional digital field reports, including photographs, sketches, utility layouts, and PDF deliverables. Communicate findings clearly with contractors, engineers, project managers, inspectors, and field personnel. Maintain company vehicles, locating equipment, and field documentation. Follow all company safety procedures and support Safe Digging best practices. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 2 years of verifiable underground utility locating experience . Demonstrated proficiency using electromagnetic locating equipment.

Strong understanding of:

Utility construction methods Electromagnetic locating principles Utility mapping and record interpretation Damage prevention and excavation safety Ability to interpret construction drawings, utility plans, and as-built documentation. Strong computer skills with experience preparing professional digital field reports. Valid California Driver License with a clean driving record. Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
