Powerline Inspector (Part-Time / Potential Full-Time)

Part-Time (20-30 hours/week) OR Full Time. Initially, this may be a temporary position (min 6 months) however, for someone who is the right fit, we may convert this to a permanent role.

Compensation:

$40-$65 per hour (DOE) Part time

Full-Time Opportunity:

Available for candidates with strong experience in bidding and project estimating. About the Role We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Powerline Inspector to join our team on a part-time basis, potentially a full-time role for the right candidate. You will perform detailed visual and drone-assisted inspections of overhead powerlines, poles, and related infrastructure for utility clients. Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed inspections of overhead lines Identify and document defects, vegetation encroachment, equipment condition, and safety hazards Use drones, binoculars, and side by side for thorough assessments Prepare clear inspection reports with photos and recommendations Work closely with utility crews and project managers For full-time candidates: Prepare bids, cost estimates, and proposals for contracts Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of experience in the powerline industry. On the job training will happen Valid Driver's License with clean driving record (driving record will be checked) OSHA 30 is a plus Part 107 FAA Drone License is a strong plus Experience with bid preparation and project estimating (required for full-time consideration) Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions Excellent written and verbal communication skills What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Flexible part-time schedule Opportunity to grow into full-time role with benefits Company vehicle or mileage reimbursement Tools and safety equipment provided Supportive team environment Retirement benefits if employed 6 months or greater Health, dental and vision insurance if hired for full-time work (30+ hours per week)
