We're hiring construction inspection professionals for a 5-year program with PennDOT District 3, offering steady work and long-term stability. Key Responsibilities Perform field inspections to ensure construction aligns with plans, specifications, and applicable standards
Collect materials samples (soil, concrete, asphalt) and document testing results
Monitor construction quality, progress, and workmanship
Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and photo documentation
Identify and communicate non-conformance issues and recommend corrective actions
Ensure compliance with PennDOT, NYSDOT, local, and federal requirements
Observe, document, and report jobsite safety concerns
Requirements
B.S. in Engineering, Science, Environmental or related field preferred
Experience in construction inspection, civil engineering, or construction management preferred
Familiarity with roadway, bridge, or heavy civil construction preferred (PennDOT or NYSDOT experience preferred)
Strong attention to detail with solid documentation and communication skills
Ability to work outdoors in active construction environments
Valid Driver's License
Certifications are a plus or willingness to obtain: ACI Field Testing Technician, NICET Highway Construction, PennDOT Concrete, NECEPT Asphalt Physical Requirements & Work Environment Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Ability to safely access and navigate active construction sites
Capable of walking on uneven terrain
