Job Description

Job Title:
Construction Inspector Job Description Join our dynamic Construction Management team as a Construction Inspector, engaging in fieldwork throughout DC and visiting homes to meet directly with homeowners. You will support the delivery of Municipal Water/Wastewater Infrastructure construction projects, contributing significantly without the need to report to a local office. The role involves daily travel to various sites. Responsibilities Inspect and observe construction projects to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. Identify unforeseen conditions and communicate them to senior supervising construction staff. Maintain accurate field notes and daily reports, tracking schedule progress for projects. Perform basic estimating tasks. Acquire field information to aid in project design. Develop and maintain professional working relationships with design divisions, construction contractors, and sub-contractors. Demonstrate skills and judgment to inspect portions of projects under supervision. Provide supervision to less experienced inspectors. Essential Skills 1 to 3 years of inspection experience. Experience working on horizontal or civil construction projects. Strong communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications A good attitude and willingness to work fully out of a car while traveling the local market (DMV). Construction background. Work Environment You will be part of a team of approximately 30 inspectors, reporting to the program manager. Your work will primarily be on-site or on the road, with occasional reporting to the Blue Plains office 1-2 times per week. The role involves full-time fieldwork and does not require reporting to a Ramboll office. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, DC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
