Job Description

Gulf & Bay Marine is seeking an experienced Seawall Foreman to lead field crews performing seawall construction, seawall repairs, marine structural projects, and related waterfront construction activities. The Seawall Foreman is responsible for managing daily jobsite operations, supervising crew members, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently, maintaining quality standards, and serving as the primary onsite representative for Gulf & Bay Marine. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong marine construction experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic waterfront environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead and supervise seawall construction and repair crews. Coordinate daily work activities to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget. Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, permits, and project drawings. Direct installation of seawalls, sheet piling, tiebacks, caps, pilings, riprap, and related marine structures. Operate and oversee the safe operation of marine construction equipment, barges, excavators, skid steers, cranes, and power tools. Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety policies. Monitor workmanship to ensure projects meet company quality standards. Coordinate material deliveries and manage jobsite inventory. Communicate project progress, challenges, and resource needs to management. Train, coach, and develop crew members. Identify and resolve field issues before they impact project schedules. Maintain accurate daily reports, equipment logs, and production records. Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and all applicable environmental and marine construction regulations. Interact professionally with customers, subcontractors, inspectors, and vendors. Qualifications Required 5+ years of construction experience, including marine construction, seawalls, docks, heavy civil construction, or related trades. 2+ years of supervisory or foreman experience. Ability to read construction plans and specifications. Experience leading crews in outdoor construction environments. Valid Florida driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to work around water and in varying weather conditions. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work. Preferred Marine construction experience. Experience operating heavy equipment. Knowledge of seawall systems, pilings, tiebacks, and waterfront structures. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. Boating or marine industry experience. CDL license (preferred but not required). Work Environment Outdoor construction environment. Frequent work on docks, barges, seawalls, and waterfront properties. Exposure to heat, humidity, sun, rain, and marine conditions. Occasional early mornings, overtime, and weekend work based on project demands. Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience. Overtime opportunities. $52,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
