In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, analyzing, and diagnosing issues related to building exteriors, including façades, roofing systems, waterproofing, and other envelope components. Your expertise will help identify causes of damage or failure, ensure quality standards are met, and support forensic investigations to resolve complex building envelope problems. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of building exteriors, including façades, roofing systems, and waterproofing elements, to assess damage or deterioration. Analyze construction details, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand design intent and identify deviations or defects. Collect detailed data through visual assessments, measurements, photographs, and testing procedures to document conditions accurately. Perform quality control and quality inspection activities during construction or repair projects related to building envelopes. Investigate causes of failure or damage by analyzing construction practices, materials used, and site conditions; prepare detailed forensic reports. Collaborate with contractors, architects, engineers, and project managers to develop remediation strategies and ensure compliance with contracts and specifications. Review construction management plans and monitor adherence to project timelines and quality standards on-site. Requirements Proven experience in construction inspection or forensic investigations related to building envelopes or exterior systems. Strong knowledge of construction practices, quality control procedures, and inspection techniques specific to façades, roofing, waterproofing, and pipeline systems. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction documents with precision. Excellent analysis skills for diagnosing complex issues involving materials failure or design flaws. Hands-on experience working on construction sites with a solid understanding of construction management processes. Familiarity with data collection methods and documentation standards for forensic investigations. Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and preparing comprehensive reports.
