7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M., Monday - Friday; may be required to work overtime.
Other:
Must be able to lift 40 pounds. Possession of a valid Driver's License from applicant's home state. Appointed applicant must obtain a Florida Driver's License within 30 days of hire and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment.

Jog Road, WPB 34965 Performs technical work in the enforcement of construction codes through the review of plans and inspection of construction projects to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and Building Division policies and procedures. Work is performed within established guidelines with oversight provided by supervisory personnel. Performance is evaluated based on technical competency, inspection quality and accuracy, consistency in code interpretation and application, productivity, customer service, adherence to departmental policies and procedures, and overall effectiveness in carrying out assigned duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess the following: Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of four (4) years of experience in construction work as an Architect, Engineer, Contractor, Inspector, Electrician, Plumber, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, or Carpenter in the appropriate trade.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
The selected candidate for this position: Must obtain a Florida Provisional Inspector Certification in Electrical within 120 days of hire AND a Florida Standard Inspector Certification in Electrical within 11 months of hire.
