has been a trusted provider of building department services to Florida's public agencies for twenty years. Summary We are seeking a Plans Examiner to join our team atPDCS, LLC.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews of building construction documents for enforcement of appropriate building codes regulating building construction, alterations and repairs. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the successful management of construction projects within our communities. Responsibilities Review construction plans and specifications for accuracy and adherence to Florida Building Code and other local codes and ordinances. Collaborate with contractors and project managers to address compliance concerns. Prepare reports documenting findings and recommendations following plans examination. Assist in quality control processes to maintain high standards in construction projects.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of building codes and related laws and ordinances. Knowledge of various types of building construction materials and methods and stages of construction in order to be able to determine when violations and defects may most easily be observed and corrected. Ability to respond to various parties in a courteous and professional manner, regardless of the circumstances. Ability to comprehend and apply principles of mathematical concepts as related to this position. Ability to identify problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions that are in accordance with laws, ordinances, and established principles. Ability to follow and interpret instructions furnished in written, mathematical, graphical and oral format. Basic computer skills, including experience with software applications appropriate to this position (Word, Excel, etc.). Requirements Must hold a Standard Plans Examiner License in one or more disciplines or hold a Residential Plans Examiner License, issued by the Florida Building Code Administration and Inspection Board, in accordance with the provisions set forth in Florida Statute 468 or licensed as an architect or engineer in the State of Florida. Required experience in the completion of plans review. Computer skills required for this position. Must possess or obtain, prior to employment, a valid Florida Operator's License.
