Job Description

Nagamine Okawa Engineers, one of Hawaii's top structural engineering firms is seeking a Construction Inspector. This is a great opportunity to work on projects involving public agencies and private organizations located throughout Hawaii and the Pacific Rim. We are an award winning firm that has been voted as one of Hawaii's "Best Places to Work" by Hawaii Business Magazine. As a Construction Inspector, you will be responsible for leading or assisting with special inspections for new construction, and structural assessment of existing buildings and bridges. You will be responsible for submitting typed field reports, therefore, general computer knowledge is required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Three years minimum as an inspector, foreman or superintendent with a trade background as a carpenter, steel worker, mason, or a background in Engineering. Must be able to read structural drawings, or be able to learn. Special inspection certifications preferred, but not required. Must be willing to obtain. Valid drivers license is required. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be willing to be flexible, learn new skills, and continue training for a variety of inspections for different structures.
