Weekend and on call work as required Tentative Start Date June 2026 Job Summary Under the general direction of the Chief Building Official, performs and/or oversees plan reviews for all building, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, energy, flood plain ordinance, accessibility, and/or Fire Codes adopted by the City of West Des Moines for industrial, commercial, and residential construction, provides inspections for compliance and enforcement of building codes, and addresses questions and concerns from architects, general contractors, sub-contractors, and homeowners.
