Job Description

Applications are now being accepted for the position of Inspection Coordinator (Fiber) in the Development Services Department. Starting wage is $29.80 - $36.30 per hour / DOQ. Primary Duties:
The Inspection Coordinator is responsible for supervision and coordination of construction inspection. The incumbent manages the District's Telecommunications construction inspection as well as technical and clerical support personnel. The incumbent trains employees in the safe operation of equipment and assures compliance by his/her crew to all District safety standards and procedures. The nature of the work performed requires that an employee in this classification establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with contractors, developers, engineers, Federal, State and local compliance officers, property owners, the general public and other District employees.
Qualifications:
The incumbent must have considerable knowledge in Telecommunication construction inspection principles, practices and techniques; and roadway infrastructure repair and rehabilitation techniques and methods. Good working knowledge of the principles, practices and testing related to construction inspection is desirable. Supervisory experience is preferable. WAQTC certification and some college level courses in civil engineering are preferred OR any combination of education, experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be acceptable.
