Job Title:
Field Engineer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Field Engineer to join our team in managing electrical construction for a utility-scale wind farm. This role involves overseeing the installation of AC/DC collection lines, terminations, conduit work, inverter tasks, and more. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, quality, and efficiency of construction activities. Responsibilities Ensure safe operations on the job site and proper use of PPE by all personnel. Assist with planning, organizing construction activities, and schedule monitoring. Conduct visual inspections to ensure compliance with the project scope. Administer the QA/QC program, including documentation and log maintenance. Monitor project materials, inspect deliveries, and manage discrepancies. Assist with subcontractor management, tracking their progress and compliance. Provide administrative support by processing credit card receipts and time cards. Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure compliance with hiring procedures. Coordinate construction activities and communicate with various stakeholders. Attend project meetings and manage project documentation. Travel extensively and reside in temporary lodging as required. Essential Skills Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience in construction management and commercial construction. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform inspections. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business administration, or equivalent education and experience. Prior construction experience, including internships. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in project management and electrical construction. Strong organizational and communication skills. Work Environment This position requires working outdoors in diverse weather conditions, ranging from extreme cold to hot and muggy. You will be stationed at job sites, primarily in rural areas, with accommodations in hotels, motels, or temporary lodgings. Expect to work approximately 60-70 hours per week, with a monthly scheduled rotation allowing for some time off. The role involves extensive travel and requires a willingness to be away from home for most of the year. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
