This position is responsible for the administrative, technical and inspection work related to the enforcement and interpretation of state building codes, local zoning by-laws and other applicable regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Each local inspector shall have had at least five (5) years of experience in the supervision of building construction or design or in the alternative a two year associate degree in a field related to building construction or design or any combination of education and experience which would confer equivalent knowledge and ability. Applicants not already certified as a Local Inspector may be appointed on the condition that they obtain a Local Inspectors Certification within 18 months of appointment.
