Private Utility Locator

Overview Join DC Locating as a Private Utility Locator, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of construction and infrastructure projects. In this position, you'll utilize your field expertise to accurately identify and mark underground utilities, preventing costly damages and project delays. Your proactive approach and technical skills will contribute to smooth operations on construction sites, supporting teams in delivering successful outcomes safely and on time. Responsibilities Use specialized equipment and techniques to locate underground utilities such as water, gas, electric, telecommunications, and other service lines. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and construction plans to identify utility layouts. Document findings meticulously through detailed reports, maps, and logs for project records. Ensure all locating activities comply with safety standards, regulations, and company policies. Skills 3 years minimum Private Locating Exp Proven experience as a service technician or utility locator in a field service environment. Skilled in utility locating techniques using electromagnetic detectors, ground penetrating radar (GPR), or other advanced tools. Ability to read blueprints accurately and translate plans into real-world markings on-site. Familiarity with construction site procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and documenting work thoroughly.

Pay:

$28.00 - $45.00 per hour
