Job Description

Instrumentation and Electrical Inspector
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Instrumentation and Electrical Inspector will monitor the contractor(s) for: installation of conduit, wiring, tubing, fittings and related appurtenances to ensure correct installation of electrical and/or control equipment such as; electronic flow measurement, switchgear, ultrasonic meters, transmitters, radio control, pneumatic and electronic control valves and other equipment pertinent to the project. The inspector will be expected to have extensive knowledge of the National Electric Code and have the aptitude to understand wiring schematics and process and instrumentation diagrams to ensure construction meets the specifications and safety requirements.
SKILLS:
Verbal and written communication skills. Analytical and problem-solving ability. Team player and detail oriented. Basic computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel. Knowledge in safe work practices in oil and gas production. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance. Working knowledge of OSHA requirements, safety equipment, and monitoring devices.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must have high school diploma, advanced education preferred 5 years of I & E experience Appropriate inspection certifications and/or qualifications required
