Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented OSP (Outside Plant) Inspector to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will oversee the quality and safety of outdoor telecommunications infrastructure installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and safety regulations. Your expertise will help manage the installation while supporting project from start to finish. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure projects that connect communities with high-speed broadband. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to verify adherence to blueprint plans, schematics, and construction management protocols. Monitor ongoing construction activities related to outside plant facilities and ensuring quality control at every stage. Review and interpret technical documents such as schematics, blueprints, and contracts to confirm correct installation procedures. Perform detailed quality inspections on materials, workmanship, and installation processes to identify defects or deviations from specifications. Work with the client to collect and analyze data during inspections to document progress, create redline construction drawings, compliance, and potential issues for reporting purposes. Coordinate with construction teams, contractors, and project managers to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely completion of work. Maintain accurate records of inspections, non-conformance reports, and compliance documentation for project audits and reviews. Qualifications Proven experience in construction inspection or quality control within the telecommunications or utility sectors. Strong knowledge of construction site safety protocols, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and pipeline installation practices. Knowledge in RUS and NESC standards and practices. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to identify issues quickly and recommend effective solutions. Familiarity with construction management principles, contracts administration, and data collection methods. Hands-on experience with construction site activities related to outside plant infrastructure projects. Ability to communicate clearly with diverse teams and document findings comprehensively. Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for fiber construction Proficient in Microsoft Office Valid US Driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle RUS experience a plus Join us in helping build reliable communication networks for Rural America!
