Responsibility:
This position is responsible for coordinating and performing surveys before, during, and after construction to confirm defects, repair details, and field conditions for the elevated structures systemwide. The role includes attending Planning, Design, and Field meetings and reviewing GO opportunities to ensure efficient construction activities. Responsibilities also include preparing MOW Engineering Inspection Reports, assisting in prioritizing repairs, and entering information into the EAM database. The role requires compiling project data for tracking, graphing, and reporting as requested by MOW management. Additional duties include monitoring Capital Projects to ensure adequate quality control of construction activities, verifying repaired defects, and updating EAM accordingly. The employee will respond to emergency calls from Control or Engineering Managers regarding structural impacts, falling concrete, and customer complaints. The position includes preparing and maintaining inspection schedules, providing guidance to Maintenance Supervisors on inspection procedures, training, report writing, and enforcement of rules, regulations, safety requirements, and the Policy Instruction Manual. Further responsibilities include maintaining payroll records, tracking sick leave, vacation, emergency calls, and training; maintaining sign-in logs; scheduling refresher and safety training; and entering payroll into the AS400 system. This position will conduct pre-final and final inspections and prepare punch list reports for new construction and repair work performed under capital contracts and ICC contracts. Regular communication with MOW Infrastructure, the Control/Command Center, and Engineering personnel is required, as well as support for in-house forces, ICC contracts, and capital programs. Other related duties may be assigned as needed based on departmental requirements.

Salary Range:
Step 1 Entrance $110,381 Step 2 $111,951 Step 3 $115,888
Education and Experience:
Five (5) years of full-time satisfactory experience; at least one (1) year of this experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.
Desired Skills:
Must have a good attendance record. Strong knowledge of both Elevated and Subway Structures, Structural Components as well as Construction, Maintenance and Repair Procedures. Must have comprehensive working knowledge of computer applications including Windows, Microsoft Office, PSR-CAMS, INFOR / EAM, AS400 Timekeeping programs, IRAILS and DRAW. Knowledge of NYCT Procedures, Rules and Regulations and Safety Practices. Must demonstrate a high standard of Verbal and Written Communication Skills. Must be familiar with maintenance responsibilities and NYCT's organization chain of command. Must be willing to work nights and weekends as required by the department.
