Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world. This position covers Orange, Ulster, and Dutchess Counties in York. In the role of Inspector, we'll count on you to: Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads and bridges Monitor, record and inspect progress on construction projects Coordinate field materials sampling and testing, including concrete slump and air testing, casting concrete test cylinders, and performing in-place soil compaction testing Receive general supervision from the Senior Inspector who reviews work while in progress Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications Technical school or Associate degree Some demonstrated experience in construction inspection Ability to interpret construction schedules NYSDOT or NYSTA experience #LI-EH1 Required Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must HDR's Drug and Alcohol Policy supports our commitment to employee safety and exceeding client requirements. The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
