Job Title:
Mechanical Owners Representative Job Description The Mechanical Owner's Representative is responsible for overseeing construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with specifications. This role requires regular site presence and collaboration with contractors to maintain high standards of project execution. Responsibilities Maintain regular presence on site during contractor working hours. Act as a safety steward, adhering to all safety requirements and reporting any deficiencies or safety concerns. Monitor the quality of mechanical construction, ensuring compliance with permits, agreements, scope of work, and specifications. Serve as a liaison between all mechanical contractors on site. Review test reports for accuracy and completeness, as well as contractor's mechanical QA/QC documentation. Conduct daily visits to construction areas, participate in quality benchmarks and safety programs, and attend field testing for mechanical work. Perform spot checks and in-depth inspections as needed. Assist in other fields such as mechanical, materials, or electrical quality assurance as required. Establish connections with contractors by attending meetings and fostering collaboration. Report any deviations from project specifications promptly. Provide weekly written records and photos of on-site progress and discussions with contractors. Attend in-office or virtual training and meetings to stay prepared for project work. Utilize construction management software for reports, documentation storage, and review. Participate in virtual meetings and review project documentation when not on site. Essential Skills Experience with utility-scale solar projects, single axis systems, and quality control. Proficiency in using and inspecting Nextracker and ATI systems. 4+ years of mechanical installation experience on utility-scale solar projects. Experience in quality control checks for mechanical, electrical, or civil components. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Nextracker racking systems is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Cincinnati, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
