We're looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Field Inspector to support the deployment of our Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) network in the Youngstown region. What You'll Do As a Field Inspector, you'll play a key role in ensuring our network is built right-the first time. Conduct daily field inspections of fiber construction, including underground, aerial, and residential installations Verify proper placement of fiber, conduit, handholes, pedestals, and pole attachments Ensure all work meets Omni Fiber quality standards, safety requirements, and design specifications Inspect restoration work (landscaping, pavement, right-of-way areas) to ensure it meets local and company expectations Monitor contractor performance and validate production quantities Identify and document construction issues, safety concerns, and deviations from plans-and escalate when needed Maintain accurate field notes, redlines, staking sheets, permits, and right-of-way documentation Review construction against engineering designs and provide feedback on field adjustments Perform quality audits and follow-up inspections to confirm corrective actions Partner with contractors, project managers, and internal teams to communicate progress, risks, and updates Utilize mobile tools and reporting systems to document inspections and submit reports in a timely manner Support special projects, emergency restorations, and other field operations as needed What You Bring Required Qualifications High School diploma or GED Valid, non-suspended Ohio driver's license Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, mobile apps, web-based tools) Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings and maps Preferred Qualifications Experience in fiber optic, telecom, or utility construction Familiarity with FTTH and Outside Plant (OSP) construction Experience with GIS, CAD, or construction documentation tools Knowledge of industry standards (OSHA, NESC, local permitting) Key Strengths for Success Strong attention to detail Clear and professional communication Problem-solving mindset Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented approach Commitment to safety and quality Ownership and accountability in the field Work Environment Outdoor, field-based role in varying weather conditions Walking active construction sites and uneven terrain Ability to lift up to 80 lbs Flexibility to work overtime, nights, weekends, or holidays as needed Travel within assigned markets, including occasional overnight stays Why You'll Love Working Here We offer a competitive benefits package designed to support your wellbeing, growth, and long-term success: FinancialRetirement 401(k) with Employer Matching Contribution - up to 4% HSA with $2000 Employer Contribution Professional Growth Professional Development Reimbursement Advancement Opportunities Time OffWork-Life Balance (prorated at hire) 15 days Paid Time Off 8 Paid Company Holidays 3 Floating Holidays HealthProtection Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage Life InsuranceShort-Term Disability Additional Perks Monthly InternetCell Phone Allowances Mileage Reimbursement and help us power the networks of tomorrow!
