Position Type:
Long-Term Contract Position Overview System One is seeking experienced Construction Oversight Engineers to support regulatory inspection activities for advanced nuclear construction projects, including Natrium reactor units. This role will work within a regulatory oversight environment, ensuring construction activities meet NRC requirements and nuclear industry standards. Key Responsibilities Develop procedures for regulatory oversight of nuclear construction activities Perform technical inspection oversight for construction of advanced reactor units Apply in-depth knowledge of NRC regulations, codes, and inspection processes Identify issues of concern and proactively communicate findings to leadership Recommend regulatory paths and solutions to address construction and compliance issues Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to support safe and compliant construction execution Required Qualifications 18+ years of experience with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Prior experience as a qualified NRC reactor inspector Strong knowledge of nuclear regulations, codes, and standards Ability to work independently with a high level of technical judgment Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across technical and leadership teams Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and commitment to teamwork Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering discipline Experience supporting first-of-a-kind or advanced reactor designs Why Join System One?
