Job Description

CONSTRUCTION SITE SAFETY INSPECTOR
Role Overview I am seeking a proactive and detail-driven Site Safety Inspector to manage and continuously enhance our Safety Program. This role partners closely with Crew Superintendents to ensure safety goals are achieved in accordance with project timelines and quality expectations. The Site Safety Inspector will be a champion for safety culture, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct bi-weekly audits across project sites, plants, shops, and offices Perform quarterly MSHA audits and track site safety performance Collaborate with superintendents to allocate safety resources and address concerns Lead quarterly safety meetings and ensure employee engagement with safety initiatives Investigate incidents and oversee corrective actions and reports Maintain 100% compliance with OSHA, MSHA, TxDOT, and other regulations Submit all project-specific safety documentation within 72 hours of request Track and report all safety KPIs quarterly, including EMR, TRIR, lost time incidents, and incident resolution time Deliver at least two in-house safety training sessions per employee annually Promote a proactive safety culture by identifying hazards, recommending improvements, and educating staff Representing the company at contractor and owner meetings related to safety
Performance Metrics:
Less than 1.2% loss prevention rate per 100 employees EMR < 0.85; TRIR < 2.0 Emergency response time reduced by 1% quarterly Incident resolution time reduced by 1% quarterly Annual 1% reduction in workplace risk areas and lost-time incidents Documented compliance with safety KPIs and quarterly reporting to
HR Qualifications Education:
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certifications:
Required:
OSHA 30 Construction Industry Outreach Training CPR Certification Valid driver's license
Experience:
Required:
Minimum 3 years of safety-focused experience, preferably in construction
Skills & Abilities:
In-depth knowledge of road construction and safety standards Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills Ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments Capable of lifting 50 lbs and working outdoors in varied conditions
Schedule:
5:00AM-5:00PM
MONDAY-SATURDAY, SUNDAYS AS NEEDED
