Job Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking 26 Aircraft Electrical Quality Inspectors for a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
(REQUIRED
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
): o Minimum of 3 years of experience inspecting or working with aircraft electrical systems, electrical components, wiring, or related electrical installations. o Minimum of 5 years of Aerospace Quality Inspection experience. o Minimum of 5 years of experience performing product or process inspections. o Minimum of 5 years of experience reading and interpreting aerospace engineering drawings and blueprints. o Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts. o Regular and predictable attendance is a requirement of this request.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The Executive Fleet Quality Inspector will be a part of the Client team specializing in Executive Fleet aircraft located in San Antonio, Texas. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. o Performs inspections of electrical systems, electrical components, wiring, and related aircraft electrical installations to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications. o This inspector implements quality assurance and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations. o Inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services, or operations for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing ongoing reviews of work for compliance with requirements. o Ensures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner. o Specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished. o Communicates deficiencies to proper persons. o Maintains Quality Assurance files. o Documents results of all inspections. Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
(DESIRED
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
): o Electrical inspection experience on aircraft systems, avionics, wiring, or integrated electrical components. o Experience working with large aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) inspections. o Experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry. o FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate or sufficient experience to obtain an FAA Repairman Certificate. o Experience with Client 7XX airplane and/or Military aircraft. o Experience with Executive Fleet aircraft.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
o The candidate must be able to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift loads of approximately 35 pounds. o Exposure to noise, working on elevated platforms. o Use personal protective gear for face, eyes, ears, hand, and arms as required. o Pass visual acuity and color perception tests. o Read, write, and comprehend the English language. o Handle, use, and dispose of hazardous material. o Obtain & maintain training certifications as required to support assignment responsibilities. o Occasional (1 to 3 hrs.) finger manipulation. o On occasion, a 2-person lift may be necessary for weights greater than 50 lbs. o Frequent reaching overhead (3 to 6 hrs.). o Frequent walking on flat surfaces. o Frequent standing flat or uneven surfaces. o Frequent balancing on a ladder, steps, or uneven surfaces. o Occasional climbing on 3-12 ft ladders or stands. o Rotation of head/neck, sitting, crawling, squatting, bend/stoop, lying down, and operate foot controls for an extended period of time. o Occasional contact with metals. o Frequent exposure to noise.
