Job Description:
Senior Construction Representative The Senior Construction Representative supports the DOD and reports to the Program Manager. This position is 100% on-site. Street Legal Industries, Inc. is seeking a Senior Construction Representative for our project in San Antonio, TX. Provide direct support of the mechanical, fire protection and project engineers supporting all activities required.
Responsibilities:
Inspection of Work - Provide inspection of work in place, and review of the construction contractor's submittals, to provide an opinion or recommendation to the appropriate Government employee(s) as to whether work is in full compliance with the contract plans and specifications. This will be included in the Daily Report of surveillance activities in the USACE Resident Management System (RMS). Reports will be entered into RMS and submitted via email to the project engineer daily. Inspection of On-Site Plant, Materials and Equipment - Provide inspection of the contractor's on-site plant (storage yards and temporary facilities), materials and equipment, to provide an opinion or recommendation to the appropriate Government employee(s) as to whether they are in full compliance with contract plans, specifications, EM 385-1-1 and OSHA requirements. This will also be included in the RMS daily report. Observation of Methods - Observe construction contractor's, and subcontractor's performance of work, to provide an opinion or recommendation to the appropriate Government employee(s) as to whether they are in full compliance with contract plans, specifications, EM 385-1-1 and OSHA requirements. This will also be included in the RMS daily report. Schedule Analysis Proficiency in current versions of Microsoft Project and Primavera P6. Determine the impact of any out-of-sequence work and evaluate the reason so as not to affect the critical path. Review schedules for conformance with sound construction methodology, sequencing, and contract compliance.
Requirements:
BS Degree in a related field and at least 7 years' experience or a HS diploma and more than 10 years' experience. Minimum 5 years' experience with Quality Control and familiarity with RMS. Past experience with USACE or Air Force Military Construction (MILCON) projects is preferred.
