Housing Choice Voucher Inspector

HCV Inspector (Housing Choice Voucher) $27.00-$40.00 Hourly Yakima Housing Authority has an opportunity for a full-time HCV Inspector. Primary responsibilities include maintaining the smooth efficient and timely flow of paperwork and scheduling necessary to complete the required HCV inspections for the Section 8 Department. .

Minimum Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills along with the ability to meet and deal with the public in a pleasant and courteous manner; well organized and detail oriented, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, proficient computer skills; knowledge of standard office equipment. Remain familiar and current with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Federal Regulations and state and local building codes as well as Lead-Based Paint regulations as they pertain to the Section 8 housing programs. Ensure that acceptability criteria and performance requirements for all Section 8 dwelling units are in compliance both at commencement of assisted occupancy and throughout the assisted tenancy. High school diploma or GED; AND one year experience in related field; AND the ability to perform the work.
