Operates various hand and/or power tools, such as hammer, screw drivers, wrenches, drills, power saws, air nozzle, air compressor, and hydraulic tools. Operates various machinery/equipment including small boats, excavators on land and on barge, skid steer, and forklift. Periodically assists with supervising crew in absence of foreman, occasionally operates specialized equipment and performs minor welding repairs. Regularly checks and maintains heavy equipment to ensure proper fluid levels and mechanical functions including checking tires, lights, and changing oil. Loads and dumps stone and dirt from trucks onto hopper barges. Digs behind bulkheads under demolition and places spoils on hopper barge.
