Crane Installer Requirements:
High school Diploma or Equivalent Minimum 1 year experienceResponsibilities:
- Responsible for the complete setup and assembly of cranes
- Transporting crane and crane components
- Positioning cranes
- Attach necessary rigging
- Perform safety checks
- Ensuring the crane is fully operational
- Assess the work area, identify anchor points and prepare the ground for crane installation
- Assemble crane components according to manufactures instructions, including boom sections, outriggers, and counterweights
- Connect necessary electrical and hydraulic systems to power the crane
- Determine load weights and check them against lifting capacities to ensure crane is properly spotted for safe operation within load limits of crane.
- Inspect cables or grappling devices for wear and install or replace cables, as needed.
- Inspect and adjust crane mechanisms or lifting accessories to prevent malfunctions or damage
- Ensure all required documents such as permits, logbooks, fuel and mileage reports, daily/monthly crane inspection reports, and related paperwork are completed on a requirement basis
