NCCCO Certified Crane Operator (CDL Required) West Palm Beach, FL 33404 $27.50 - $32.50 an hour - Full-time $27.50 - $32.50 an hour - Full-time Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and safety focused Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will currently live in the tri-county area, have a valid NCCCO certification, CDL, and proven experience operating cranes safely and efficiently on construction projects. This is not a crane-only position. When crane work is not being performed, the operator will assist with loading and unloading materials, equipment inspections, jobsite support, and other duties as assigned. Candidates should currently live within the Palm Beach County area. Responsibilities Operate cranes certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO), ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and operational standards Safely transport materials and equipment to and from job sites using your CDL license, including heavy machinery like boom trucks, forklifts, backhoes, excavators, and other heavy equipment Read load charts and follow lift plans Perform rigging tasks to secure loads properly before lifting or moving materials, ensuring stability and safety during operations Conduct routine inspections of crane equipment, rigging gear, and other machinery to identify maintenance needs or potential hazards Assist with materials handling activities such as loading/unloading trucks, warehouse inventory management, shipping & receiving operations, and site logistics coordination Collaborate with construction teams to plan lift sequences, coordinate movements, and execute tasks efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment Maintain detailed records of crane operations, inspections, maintenance logs, and safety checks in accordance with company policies Requirements NCCCO certification as a Crane Operator is mandatory; certification must be current and valid Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record 3 Years Proven experience operating cranes in construction or industrial settings; familiarity with various heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, forklifts, boom trucks, and warehouse machinery is highly desirable Strong mechanical knowledge of cranes, load charts, rigging systems, materials handling equipment, and general heavy machinery operation Construction site experience demonstrating knowledge of safety protocols and hazard awareness Reliable transportation Positive attitude with strong work ethic Experience with shipping & receiving processes and warehouse operations is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Roofing or construction experience OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Preemployment screening may include: Driving record check, background check and pre-employent drug screening.
