If you do not have both, please do not apply.•About Adams Steel Adams Steel Service & Supply has been operating in McHenry, Illinois since 1960. We are a full-service structural steel fabricator and steel service center, AWS and AISC certified, with a 60,000 sq ft facility and in-house crane, fabrication, waterjet/plasma cutting, and welding operations. We work across residential, commercial, and contractor markets in northern Illinois, Chicagoland, and southern Wisconsin. This is a stable, established operation with real infrastructure and long-term work. The Role We are hiring an experienced Crane Operator to support our structural steel delivery, fabrication, and erection operations across northern Illinois and Chicagoland. This is a non-union, direct-hire position operating truck-mounted knuckle boom cranes out of our McHenry, IL facility. This is a working crane operator role. You will operate equipment regularly, not occasionally. What You'll Do Operate Palfinger and similar truck-mounted knuckle boom cranes supporting structural steel delivery, fabrication support, and erection work across northern Illinois and Chicagoland Lift and position structural steel components on job sites and at our McHenry facility Support delivery and installation crews Maintain equipment in safe, clean operating condition Coordinate clearly with rigging and ground crews on lifts What We're Looking For You must have both of the following to be considered: NCCCO Certification (current, valid) CDL Class B with a clean driving record We cannot sponsor or support certification at this time.
