In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to efficiently move and process scrap materials. Responsibilities Operate overhead cranes and other heavy machinery to lift, move, and stack scrap materials. Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure safety and functionality. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate operations and ensure efficiency. Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed. Assist in sorting and processing scrap materials for recycling. Maintain accurate records of materials handled and equipment usage. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid crane operator certification or equivalent experience. Proven experience operating cranes in a scrap yard or similar environment. Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
