Blend Dress - Deburr/ Crane Operator (Mon-Thurs 5:30 am-4:00 pm) About the Role Location United States of America North Carolina Charlotte Company Siemens Energy, Inc. Organization Gas Services Business Unit Central Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Entry-Level / Graduate Nationwide premium relocation is available to qualified candidates. (Terms and conditions apply) A Snapshot of Your Day As a Gas Turbine (GT) Crane Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and precise movement of critical components within the GT Rotor Machining department. You will set up, rig, and operate radio-controlled overhead cranes to transport and install or remove gas turbine rotor components, assemblies, and fixtures. You must be willing adapt to shifting priorities, and demonstrate leadership by directing 1-2 persons as needed to ensure safe and efficient operations Your secondary function will involve identifying, locating, dressing, blending, and deburring component parts or assemblies to meet precise drawing requirements. Working with minimal supervision, you will manage your workflow, safely set up and maintain deburring and shot peen equipment. How You'll Make an Impact
  • Set up, rig, and operate radio-controlled overhead cranes to safely transport and precisely install/remove gas turbine rotor components, assemblies, and fixtures.
  • Identify, locate, dress, blend, and deburr component parts or assemblies to meet drawing requirements.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading products.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain shot peen equipment.
  • Safely handle lifting equipment and large components weighing several tons, with or without assistance.
  • Strictly follow written and verbal instructions to maintain quality and safety standards. What You Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical diagrams, apply basic math, and use precision gauges to set tooling with high accuracy.
  • Ability to develop and maintain proficiency in rigging equipment and gas turbine components, obtain required certifications (e.g., Critical Lift crane), and effectively lead small teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to safely perform physical and operational tasks, including following written/verbal instructions, lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for extended periods, and successfully completing required pre-employment assessments and job-related screenings (accommodations available).
