Job Description
Voted Best General Contractor by the Cappies in 2021 and 2022, come see what RS Audley, Inc., is all about. R.S. Audley, Inc. has full-time openings for Crane Operators . The Crane Operator is responsible for operating a variety of cranes, from a 23-ton boom truck up to a 150-ton latter crawler. This individual will be responsible for assisting in the breakdown and erection of the cranes, performing pre and post work inspections of the crane equipment, along with daily and monthly equipment inspections. All Operators are expected to follow appropriate safety procedures and maintain working status logs. The responsibilities of a Crane Operator include, but are not limited to the following:
- Demonstrates safe and ethical behavior at all times.
- Committed to safety of employees and mindful of environmental considerations. If there are safety issues, this individual is to report these issues to the Bridge Foreman onsite to make a decision regarding the day's operation.
- Operates various types of cranes: All Terrain, Rough Terrain, Crawlers, Industrial, Hydraulic Trucks, Conventional Trucks, and Boom Trucks.
- Assures that all lifts are within load limits of equipment and correctly rigged.
- Ensures that lifting gear is inspected prior to use.
- They work and communicate with ground crew/helpers via hand signals. They also work within precise limits and set standards of accuracy.
- Inspect cables and grappling assembly to identify wear and facilitate replacement.
- Load or unload shipment of heavy-duty machinery or material from trucks.
- Participate in the training and other forms of development to strengthen technical skills.
- Travel to different job sites throughout New Hampshire.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
