Crane Operator (NYS)

We're looking for a skilled and dependable NYS Certified Crane Operator to join our crew. Position Overview The Crane Operator will safely operate a 40-ton boom truck (enclosed cab) on various job sites throughout Central New York. This role requires someone who is a self-starter, works well independently, and communicates effectively with field crews and customers. Key Responsibilities Operate a 40-ton boom truck safely and efficiently Lift, move, and place structural steel and related materials Work closely with ironworkers and field crews during steel erection Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks Follow all OSHA and job site safety requirements Accurately review and sign time & material (T&M) invoices on-site Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and customers Qualifications NYS Certified Crane Operator (required) OSHA 10-Hour Certification (required) Valid driver's license with Class B CDL and air brakes endorsement Experience operating boom trucks, preferably in steel erection Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Positive attitude and strong work ethic What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Steady, year-round work Opportunity to grow with a reputable and expanding company Supportive team environment Who We're Looking For We want someone reliable, safety-focused, and motivated—someone who takes pride in their work and shows up ready to get the job done right every day.
