The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with crane operations, excellent leadership abilities, and a strong commitment to safety and compliance. As the Crane Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing crane operators, riggers, and other personnel, ensuring all tasks are performed according to safety regulations and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the safe operation of cranes and lifting equipment, ensuring all work is carried out efficiently and in compliance with safety regulations. Direct and coordinate the activities of crane operators, riggers, and ground crew, ensuring effective communication and safe practices on-site. Ensure all crane operations are performed according to safety protocols, company policies, and industry regulations (OSHA, ANSI/ASME, DOT/FMCSA, etc.). Provide ongoing training and mentorship to crane operators and rigging teams, ensuring proper handling of cranes and adherence to best practices. Address any operational problems or safety concerns on the job site, including mechanical issues, crane malfunctions, or unsafe working conditions. Maintain accurate records of crane inspections, maintenance, and daily operations. Report any accidents, incidents, or safety concerns to upper management. Collaborate with project managers, site foremen, and other supervisory personnel to ensure smooth coordination of crane operations with other activities on the job site. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding crane operation, including weight limits, load charts, and environmental considerations.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with cranes in construction, industrial, or heavy equipment environments. At least 3 years of experience in a supervisor or leadership role. Must have 2+ years of experience with Liebherr LG or LTM cranes. Valid Class A CDL Valid NCCCO Certification as Mobile Crane Operator with Rigger Level I and Signalperson Current Lift Director certification BMS Heavy Cranes is a global company that is represented in almost 20 countries around the world.
