Ensuring that the equipment is used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Confirming all safety devices are in good working order and maintained in accordance with local requirements. Carrying out function tests prior to each use. Pre-use inspections of the crane and boom. Participating in the planning, JSA, and pre-lift safety meetings of all lifting operations that require utilization of the crane. Verifying communication methods with the appointed signalman prior to commencing the lifting operation. Verify crane capacity in the given configuration, weather conditions, and other limiting factors. Ensuring that any dynamic factors have been taken into consideration and that the dynamic load charts have been checked to verify that the lift is safe to proceed. Knowing the weight of the load, center of gravity, and the path of load, ensures the landing area is clear of obstructions and has a suitable capacity to support the load. Ensure all personnel is clear of the load and all controls are in place before commencing the lift. Always operate the crane in a controlled manner with smooth and careful motions. Properly cradling the crane boom under the following conditions: severe weather, high winds, and periods of infrequent use, especially at night. Conforming to Diving Operations SimOps Plan Whenever Diving Operations are in progress. Ensure all synthetic slings and wire rope slings are pre-use, inspected, protected from sharp edges, and not exposed to any risk of damage during the lift. Be knowledgeable of the operational limits of rigging equipment. Requirements Physical Requirements Standing

Job Requirements Must have 3 years experience in related work. Must have NCCCO Certification for LBC or TII Certification will need to be up to date and not expired. Desirable Experience/Training High school diploma or GED Tools & equipment used Individuals must know and use pressure paint guns, sandblasting hoses and nozzles, wet mill paint gauges, paint pots, air pressure compressors, protective blasting hoods, and breathing respirators. Environmental Conditions 80 to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors. Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet, and dry conditions, dust, mud, etc. They will also be exposed to paint thinner and paint fumes.
