Job Description

Experienced geotech/ environmental drillers needed for 2026 drill season based in Anchorage with local and state wide job sites.
Job Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain drilling rigs and associated equipment (e.g., augers, rotary, sonic, or direct-push systems) for geotechnical and environmental investigations Perform soil borings, groundwater monitoring well installations, and environmental sampling in accordance with project specifications Collect and log soil, rock, and groundwater samples for laboratory analysis Install, develop, and decommission monitoring wells and piezometers Conduct standard field tests (e.g., SPT—Standard Penetration Test, permeability tests, soil classification) Read and interpret site plans, boring locations, and utility clearances prior to drilling Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and company policies Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on drilling equipment Accurately complete field logs, daily reports, and documentation of drilling activities Coordinate with project managers, geologists, and engineers to meet project objectives Mobilize and demobilize drilling equipment and materials to and from job sites Identify and avoid underground utilities using proper procedures (e.g., calling in locates) Handle drilling fluids, cuttings, and waste materials in accordance with environmental guidelines Work in a variety of environments, including remote locations and challenging terrain Maintain a clean and organized job site
