As a Rotary Driller, you will be responsible for operating heavy drilling equipment to perform horizontal and vertical drilling operations essential for infrastructure projects. Your expertise will help ensure precise, efficient drilling that meets project specifications and safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing advanced machinery and contributing to large-scale development initiatives. Duties Operate rotary drilling rigs and associated heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks to execute drilling tasks effectively. Set up drill sites by preparing the ground, installing safety barriers, and ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated before operation. Conduct horizontal drilling operations for utility installation, pipeline laying, or other underground infrastructure projects. Monitor drilling parameters continuously to ensure accuracy and safety; adjust equipment as needed during operations. Collaborate with site supervisors and team members to coordinate activities, adhere to project timelines, and maintain a safe work environment. Perform routine inspections of machinery like Caterpillar equipment and other heavy-duty tools; report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly. Follow all safety protocols and construction regulations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with environmental standards. Qualifications Proven experience operating rotary drilling rigs in construction or infrastructure projects. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in operating large construction vehicles. Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques and related machinery. Hands-on experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety procedures and site logistics. Ability to operate Caterpillar equipment and other heavy machinery efficiently and safely. Basic understanding of construction processes including paving, tanker operations, water management, and site preparation.
