Experienced Locater for Horizontal Directional Drill

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Locator for Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) to join our dynamic field team. Duties Conduct thorough utility locating using advanced electronic and manual methods to prevent damage during HDD operations Interpret and analyze blueprints, site plans, and land surveys to determine optimal drilling paths Operate field equipment such as backhoes, forklifts, and cabling machinery safely and efficiently Assist with land surveying activities to establish accurate project boundaries and reference points Support the setup and operation of horizontal directional drills, ensuring alignment with project specifications Perform routine maintenance checks on locating and drilling equipment to ensure peak performance Collaborate closely with service technicians, construction crews, and project managers to coordinate site activities and ensure safety compliance Experience Proven service technician experience or field service background within construction or utility industries Hands-on experience with utility locating techniques and land surveying practices Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings for underground infrastructure projects Skilled in operating heavy machinery such as backhoes, forklifts, and cabling tools in a construction environment Prior work on construction sites involving directional drilling or underground utility installation is highly preferred Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction site operations and underground utility work Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high attention to detail Join us in delivering essential infrastructure projects with precision and energy!
