Job Description
Roadrunner Drilling & Pump Company, Inc. is a full-service water well drilling and pump contractor based in Woodland, California. We serve the municipal, agricultural, and domestic water well industries throughout Northern California. We are currently seeking a dependable and hardworking Water Well Helper to assist our drilling and pump crews. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the water well industry and develop the skills needed for advancement within the company. Responsibilities Assist drilling and pump crews with daily operations. Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials. Perform general labor and physically demanding tasks in a variety of field conditions. Assist with equipment setup, mobilization, and demobilization. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and tools. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized worksite. Work effectively as part of a team while taking direction from supervisors. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the water well, construction, agricultural, heavy equipment, or related industries. Experience operating equipment such as forklifts, backhoes, loaders, or similar machinery. Welding and fabrication experience. Valid Class A CDL. Minimum Qualifications Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions. Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, climb, twist, push, and pull throughout the workday. Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools. Ability to follow oral and written instructions with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and customers. Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Willingness to travel and stay out of town when required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Valid California Driver's License and clean driving record. Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday Typical 10-12 hour shifts Overtime required Occasional weekend and shift work depending on project needs
