Immediate Opportunity for a Full-Time Ground Works Technician in SoCal GeoBear is a global Foundation Repair contractor committed to the management of assets in the built environment, to enhancing people's quality of life and contributing to the decarbonisation of our planet. We provide non-disruptive geotechnical ground improvement solutions and serve the State of California with 100s of happy customers. Additionally we operate in the UK, Ireland, Finland, Sweden, Poland, China, UAE You will be assisting the site team in the delivery of specialist geotechnical procedures and scopes of work defined by engineered design processes. What the job actually looks like You'll be on-site drilling holes with a hand held Hilti drill, installing injection tubes, injecting expanding polymer to the ground, monitoring the building or infrastructure asset, maintaining injection equipment and cleaning up, all while keeping records in Salesforce in real time. One week you're stabilizing a residential foundation. The next you're working on a major infrastructure project! You'll be trained from day one. No prior geopolymer experience needed — just the right attitude and a willingness to learn something genuinely new.
Experience:
2 years of experience in construction, preferably in groundworks, geotechnical works, civil engineering or house building. Skilled Labor Trades such as Plumbing, electrician or Highway work are acceptable. Previous grouting / piling / resin / geopolymer injection experience is a plus. Ability to operate drilling machinery and other tools as required. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions from the on-site management team. Commitment to working safely in accordance with site health and safety procedures and policies. OSHA 10 a plus, not required. CDL (or ability to obtain) a plus, not required.
