Groundwater Protection performs various drilling methods including, auger, mud-rotary, direct push, and sonic technology to take soil and groundwater samples and install monitoring wells for clients across the State of Florida. •
Job Summary:
•We are seeking a skilled lead helper to join our team. Key Responsibilities Assist drill operators and supervisors during drilling operations. Load, unload, and transport drilling tools, pipes, and equipment. Prepare and maintain drilling sites and work areas. Clean and inspect drilling machinery and tools. Mix drilling fluids or mud as directed. Connect and disconnect drilling pipes and equipment. Follow safety procedures and wear required protective equipment (PPE). Perform basic maintenance and repairs on drilling equipment. Monitor equipment and report mechanical issues. Help with rig setup and dismantling operations. - Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) w/driving experience is a plus. - Working outdoors can be physically demanding so we ask that all applicants: Be able to lift drill pipe and materials weighing up to 100 pounds Be able to work 8 to 10 hours per day outdoors in the heat Travel out of town 80% of the time. Load and unload support trucks Clean and maintain equipment Experience preferred, but training will be provided Must obtain
OSHA HAZWOPER 40
Hour Training Certificate or have current certificate prior to employment Must pass a background check and drug screen Must have clean driving record Join our team and contribute to exciting projects in the Environmental Assessment and Remediation field.
