What You Will Be Responsible For You will lead subsurface investigations using Geoprobe and small diameter drilling equipment, ensuring accurate data collection and strict adherence to environmental and regulatory requirements. Your work will include soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling, as well as monitoring and recovery well installations. Safety is non negotiable. You are empowered to stop work when conditions warrant it and are expected to operate with discipline, situational awareness, and full regulatory compliance at all times. You will maintain detailed field logs, complete all required DOT and hoisting documentation accurately, and coordinate closely with supervisors and project managers to execute work efficiently and professionally. You will also represent the organization on site with municipal officials, consultants, and inspectors, consistently meeting or exceeding client expectations. What Success Looks Like Within your first year, success is defined by a spotless safety record, complete and accurate documentation, high client satisfaction, and the ability to complete assignments within planned labor hours without compromising quality. This is a role where consistency, judgment, and technical competence matter more than speed. Background and Experience This role requires a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving history and a current Massachusetts hoisting license or the ability to obtain one promptly. Prior hands on experience operating Geoprobe direct push equipment is essential, along with a solid understanding of subsurface investigation methods and environmental sampling protocols. Experience supporting municipal water supply or public utility projects is highly valued. Additional drilling method exposure and current safety certifications strengthen candidacy. Compensation and Stability The first year compensation range for this role is $81,000 to $165,000 annually , driven by hours worked and project mix. Municipal and public sector projects frequently qualify for prevailing wage rates, which significantly elevate earning potential compared to standard field work.
