Job Description

Operating across the central US, EDS tackles everything from small, developmental utility blasting to drilling in some of the largest quarries in the country. Continuing to build on the foundation started in 1962, we pride ourselves on having a family-oriented business no matter how large we grow. We are currently in need of heavy equipment operators for our Washington, MO region, which covers central and eastern MO. Being an equipment operator at EDS involves operating rock drills on a variety of different construction and mining sites. Although no prior rock drill experience is required, any rock drill or heavy equipment experience is beneficial. Candidates of all experience levels are encouraged to apply as training will be a part of the job. Hourly pay is $25 - $35 depending on experience. Position includes a full benefit package and bonus opportunities. Out of town stays are likely, and commuting to job sites is essential. The amount of travel or out of town stays can vary and is dependent on your location and current project locations.
Responsibilities:
Operating and maintaining the company's rock drills Completing detailed logs of completed work Communicating project progress, problems, and updates to supervisors and vendors Complying with MSHA, OSHA, and company safety regulations Completing pre-shift inspections of equipment, vehicles, and job sites
Requirements:
MSHA part 48 training (offered in-house if not previously trained) OSHA 10-hour construction training (offered in-house if not previously trained)
