A Safety Orientated Mineral Exploration Drilling CompanyJob Profile:
Drillers AssistantPosition OverviewWe are seeking a reliable, physically fit Drillers Assistant to join our field operations team. In this role, you will assist the Driller in executing safe and efficient drilling operations. This is a hands-on, outdoor role requiring travel and a strong commitment to worksite safety.
Key ResponsibilitiesRig Setup & Operation:
Assist the Driller in mobilizing, assembling, and positioning drilling rigs and heavy equipment at project sites.
Maintenance & Support:
Conduct routine checks on vehicles and equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and assist with on-site repairs.
Sampling & Logging:
Help collect, log, and prepare high-quality geological, environmental, or core soil samples as instructed.
Site Management:
Set up safety zones, load and unload tooling and drilling supplies, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Compliance & Safety:
Participate in daily safety meetings, utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment ( PPE ), and ensure all work aligns with OSHA / MSHA and company guidelines.
Qualifications & RequirementsEducation:
High school diploma, GED , or equivalent preferred.
Licensing:
Valid driver's license preferred.
Physical Capability:
Ability to perform physically demanding labor, including repetitive bending, lifting heavy materials (up to 50+ lbs), and climbing.
Working Conditions:
Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions, with the ability to accommodate overnight or regional travel as project needs dictate.
